If you want a happy home you only need to use the Cuisinart range of kitchen appliances

Cuisinart was the brain child of Carl G.Sontheimer, who died in March, 1998 aged 83 years.

He was born in New York in 1914 but spent his young years in France. He obtained an engineering degree at MIT, and at the same time he was starting to have an enthusiasm for microwave radiation.

This enthusiasm led him to develop a microwave direction finder that NASA used on a Moon mission.

Sontheimer had long had a love of cooking and after he sold an Electronics and engineering company that he had become bored with, instead of retiring he turned his expertise to cooking appliances.

He returned to France for a cookery show and after seeing a quite complicated industrial blender, decided that he could adapt this to become a home appliance.

Cuisinart was born in 1973 with this blender/food processor. It did not immediately take off, the public took the view that it was just a toy and did not recognise its practicality and versatility.

Kitchen appliances were born due to the fact that having servants to perform all the kitchen processes was no longer the norm. Most wives found that they had to perform all the kitchen chores themselves which in previous generations, would have been done by others.

This processor could do the chopping, grinding and blending the same as a standard blender, plus it could grate, knead and so much more. Even a moderately capable cook could use it to great advantage.

This appliance was imitated but no-one came close to equalling it and since the middle 1970's the Cuisinart has been considered an almost indispensible appliance for many homes.

The Cuisinart company was sold in 1987 for $42 million and today the company produce a huge number of kitchen appliances to cover just about any process needed in the kitchen.

Whatever you like cooking, you can find a Cuisinart appliance to help you produce it, be it starters, main meals or desserts. Products to help you produce the best coffee, pizzas, bread, ice-cream, soups, purees, sauces etc.etc. Anything you care to name you should be able to find an appliance within the Cuisinart range to help you prepare it.

Today the Cuisinart company has a huge range of kitchen appliances to suit every requirement and just about every pocket.

There is something for everyone whatever their means or needs.
